Gettin ready for the Big Show (Global Gaming Expo)

Things 'round here are getting pretty crazy. I've been working on Halloween costume parts for my boys (my youngest is going to be Wolverine, and my oldest is Gambit), doing some extra doodles on top of commissioned pieces I've got to finish (well, more like get on my brother's case to finish), and on top of all that, we're coming up to the finish line at work. The Global Gaming show is the big show we prep for every year (the only time of the year that I wear a suit and tie). Anyway, I haven't been able to get much art done, but things should shift again next month when we're back on a regular project schedule.

There are a few things on my list of stuff I want to try (art-wise, not like sky diving or MMA fighting or anything crazy like that). I still haven't dug into my colored pencils that I got as a gift a while back. I want to mess around with some markers again. My Daredevil Munny is still half finished and staring at me every day.

One step at a time, though. :o

Nice stuff. How did you get a job at Palladium? Rifts is the system I run, when its my turn to run an adventure.

Long story short, Scott Johnson ([link]), a former artist at Palladium (he works for Marvel now) told me to stop being lazy, and put a portfolio together. So I busted out 10 or 12 fully inked pieces and sent them in along with a cover letter. The submission guidelines are on Palladium's website (palladiumbooks.com), and they have the Rifter as a great way for new freelancers to get noticed.

It's all about drive and determination. :)

I tried to change it up a little. Very subtle. My own type of wolverine so to speak. When we gonna play ball again? maaan, my ankle's broke though... sucks.
